Where are we?

Waking up. Looking around. What is this place? Oh, good, you know where you are.

On a trip to Ethiopia, in search of a rare Sidamo, we found an old valise. We oiled the leather so it wouldn’t crumble. Inside, the unmistakable script; the impenetrable poems, a walled heart; pages written not looking back; a map, gnawed by rats, an unknown country; the photo of a boy; a dream written on a dream.

a book of hours

poetry, history, criticism, culture; how Anthroposophy may or may not give context to our epoch; a record of one person’s reading. how do we live in connection to the sacred; the autopoesis of culture and media; the evolution of human consciousness as reflected in the seeming deterioration of language, arts, and all things human.

Sometimes waking up is a rude awakening.

Thanks for stopping by.
